The purpose of the Great Lakes Swing Dance Club
(GLSDC) is to "inform, encourage, promote and enjoy Swing Dance of all forms."

GLSDC meets weekly on the large wooden dance floor at Rollhaven of Flushing, 3464 Ann Drive off Pierson Road, west of I-75 and just east of Elms Road. Click HERE for a detailed map.

GLSDC members dance every Wednesday; group lessons are offered at 6:00 PM, with open dancing 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Lessons are conducted by one of the many fine instructors in Genesee County and mid-Michigan. One of five club DJ's provides a good mix of music each week; primarily East & West Coast Swing, Hustle, with a bit of Cha-Cha, Nightclub Two Step and a few feature dances tossed in for good measure.

Membership in GLSDC is $25 for new members and $20 for renewals. The 2008 membership form is available HERE.

GLSDC is a member club of the American Bop Association, which is "Dedicated to the preservation of Bop, Swing, Shag and Jitterbug." ABA member clubs sponsor many of the major swing dance events held each year. For more information about the ABA click HERE.

Important Reminder - Street Parking at Rollhaven

Parking at Rollhaven can be tight at times. If you park in the surface lot, please take care to park between the yellow lines, so that we may use every space in the parking lot.

Overflow parking for Rollhaven is along Ann Drive. The township police have directed that we park ONLY on the EAST SIDE of Ann Street (the Rollhaven/Dalton Airport side of Ann Street.)

Please observe this restriction so that we may maintain good relationships with Rollhaven's neighbors; in particular, avoid blocking driveways along Ann Drive.

Another reminder - the waterproofing business across from Rollhaven has asked that we do not park in their lot, as trucks and trailers may arrive an any hour. Vehicles improperly parked on that private property may be ticketed or towed.
